John Massey

John Massey is a master gardener, beekeeper, ‘kitchen pharmacist’ and a practical (hand's on) herbalist. 

His formal studies in this field were with Rosemary Gladstar’s School of Herbal Studies, in California,USA.  During his 18 years of working at both the Golden Bay and Waimarama Community Gardens (Nelson),

John facilitated regular courses in nature observation and attunement, herb/plant observations and organic growing.  Now he works independently as a teacher and consultant in these fields. 

John is also a therapeutic masseur and yoga teacher, including currently being a teacher with the IYTA (Yoga Aotearoa Assoc teacher training) course. 

John is also involved in CNVC compassionate non-violent communication and supports a man with autism in gardening and recreational activities.
