Scientific evidence shows a strong link between the decline of small-scale agriculture and degradation of the environment by agri-business. Food security is a top priority of the United Nations. Diverse vocational opportunities exist in working with sustainable food production at the community and regional level, to redress the impacts of globalisation on the environment and economy, and to rebuild community. However, comprehensive training programmes to prepare people for this work barely exist.
The aim of PLANET Organic ...
is to offer professional regional-scale training in organic agriculture, permaculture design and sustainable land-use management to highly motivated participants who intend to use their acquired knowledge and skills to work toward the creation of a healthy, balanced ecosystem and the flourishing of a wholistic and prosperous culture.

a range of committed individuals—from those who want to manage their own properties organically to those who want to help reverse the trend of global degradation caused by unsustainable practices.
