Scholarship Form

We know that money can be a barrier to education, and we don’t want this to be so. We are fortunate to offer a small number of scholarships, from the Earthcare Education Aotearoa Trust, and Permaculture in Nelson Group.

We want to make this course available to as many people as we can, so we ask for some clarity about your situation to be able to share the money in an equitable way. We may call you for a chat to get to know you a bit better as well.

In exchange for being awarded a scholarship, you will use the knowledge and skills gained in the course towards designing a project (new or retrofit) which in some way benefits the wider community (or a section of it). Consider now what that might be and let us know in the application form below. If you are successful in your scholarship application, thats the time to make agreements with local organisations about actually doing that, and inform us of your plan before the start of the course. Examples could be: designing a food garden at an elderly peoples home or hospital, designing a food forest for your local school, designing a full permaculture retrofit for a low income suburban household, running an Introduction to Permaculture day, or series of evenings, in your local area.
